National Climate Risk Assessment: What Australian business leaders need to know

The Australian Climate Service has released its first National Climate Risk Assessment, outlining the risks from climate change and their implications for communities and businesses.

“As we enter an era of unprecedented global warming, daily life and business as we know it will face disruption,” says Sophie Schlachter, Sustainability Advisor.

“To build resilience, it is critical that climate risks and impacts are embedded into short-, medium-, and long-term business planning strategies,” she explains.

“Recognising the risks of insufficient decarbonisation strategies should also motivate deeper climate action across all sectors.”
